Tomorrow we leap into Capricorn season and I for one am beyond lucky because both my best friends are stubborn, salt of the earth goats. Both have seen me through some of the toughest, most transformative experiences of my life thus far and I feel extremely grateful for their friendships.

And with that, my very last Zodiac constellation of the year!! I’ve really enjoyed the rhythm and reminder of honouring these changes in the stars and I hope you’ve enjoyed the minis that have ensued.

Give your best naughty goat friend a good chin scratch – and maybe if you have one in your life, thank them for giving you horns when you doubted your own strength.

I’ve been obsessed with balance my whole life – in everything I do – visually, holistically, health and a little of the bad good stuff, being safe with a little bit of recklessness. Even in my yoga teacher training, I had to structure my sequences around balance postures.
.
Only much later did I learn my moon was in Libra. And then so much of it made sense.
.
Libra has become an extra special sign for me, because my partner and I share moons in Libra and, aside from all the many glorious Libra hearts in my life, this shared dynamic in our relationship has always steered things toward cohesion and peace above all else.
.
So, I for one will be doing a little balancing yoga session tonight to welcome Libra season and to thank this sign for its beautiful energy in my life.
.
I hope Libra season brings you some chilled vibes as you weigh up what doesn’t serve you, let the heavy things go, and look at collective symmetry in the big picture as a way to restore the balance to your own heart.
.

Hello Virgos, we’re officially waltzing into your sign.
.
Virgo, is not, as many may think, represented by ‘the virgin’. In fact the earthy sign of Virgo is symbolised as Astraea, the goddess of wheat.
According to Greek mythology, the Maiden Astraea was the last of the immortal gods to leave Earth for Olympus at the end of the Silver Age. This is why Virgos are so strongly linked to Earth and things from the material plane.
.
When I started painting this one, I had planned to infuse some lilacs because of what the above story inspired in me. But it turns out the influence of my own life’s Virgos was stronger (my father, uncle and stepdad have all brought strong, guiding Virgo energy into my life) and hence the colours that came to play were this rather steely blue.
.
So if Virgo is reminding me of anything this month, it’s that the best structure and rules are not the ones others impose on you, but the ones you discover for yourself. ♍
