I’m so glad I’m not a cat. I would be long dead with all the curiosity I dabble in.

I have a tiny (ok rather large) side obsession with feathers. I wear ’em, I collect ’em, they’re all over my house and once upon a time I used to do minimalist sculptor-ly paintings of them.
Every now and then I get to a stage where there’s just too much and everything must go. So I toss em all out and keep only my favourites. But today I found myself a little bored with all my paintbrushes and so decided to play with the painterly skills of a feather for the branches – since I had so many.

Gotta say I love this one – purely for the delight, I discovered on the other side of curious experimentation. 🐦

I was so over the cold today that I thought I’d try the painting equivalent of a rain dance. I also promptly shoved the pedantic ‘the sun must be round’ version of me in the drawer…so ya this painting practically named itself.
