‘River See Nix’ – Day 220/365

‘River See Nix’ – Day 220/365

Ooh man, this thing is like an elastic band – some days making me want to capture realism and other days making me feel like undefined abstraction is the only thing that makes sense in life.
.
I asked my guy what he thought of this and he said the river in the foreground is a bit vague. To which I replied, “What river?”
.
This is a super abstract version of a beautiful, moody AF @formgestalter trees atop rocky mountains pic.
.
And here’s the huge air fist pump moment. 220 days ago I would have scurried back to my art desk to make the mountain look more mountainous and obliterate any interpretation of rivers and whatnot thinking it made me a crappy artist because I couldn’t depict something clearly. But really, what the heck is clear in life? Now, I kinda love that you see that which flows through your heart.
.
And I’ll leave you with some wisdomess words 😋that I remember from somewhere (but can’t credit 🤓)
.
“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye. But it’s definitely there”
.
.
.
Happy LOOOOOONG weekend, gorgeous humans. Here’s wishing you much heart visioning today on Lionsgate Portal – 88! (check stories if you don’t yet know what that is) 😘

‘Famous Blue Rain’ – Day 166/365

I didn’t pick today’s painting. Leonard Cohen was playing, so I let him choose. The melancholic soul called for this. But I love me some moody AF misty trees so I was happy to comply.😂⠀
.⠀
And I’ll just go out on a limb and say this (cause I’m feeling jaunty today) if you haven’t ever layn back on a couch with only a beautiful Bordeaux to keep you company and listened to his entire essential album from beginning to end while a candle drips its last wax on the table – then I’m not sure we can be friends. Like the best kind of friends, who share the bottoms of their twisted magical souls with each other. Because Leonard, man. He gets it. 💙⠀
.
And if I’m not mistaken, he was the only still living poet to be included in Norton’s Antholgoy of Poetry. 😌✨ Wise old soul..
