I felt like a physical regression after what felt like full recovery was a personal failure at first.

But setbacks don’t mean failure. They mean you’re in motion, penduluming back and forth until you find the balance of your new normal. It’s just the rate of your recovery.

This is my new mantra to self:

Fire to warm your solitude.
Earth to feed your hunger.
Air to still your haste.
