The desert, for those with the patience to look through the apparent desertion, will make you hear what’s most present within.

I barely ever touch my black pigment, always favouring Payne’s grey for richer darkness. But this landscape called for an almost barren pigment. And I just Ioved the irony of that, that you sometimes need an absence of intensity to really awaken the life of a process or in this case, a deeply alive landscape that is often perceived as void of life.
