‘Paint it black’ – Day 67/365

I barely ever touch my black pigment, always favouring Payne’s grey for a richer darkness. But this landscape called for an almost barren pigment. And I just Ioved the irony of that, that you sometimes need an absence of intensity to really awaken the life of a process or in this case, a deeply alive landscape that is often perceived as void of life.
.
The desert, for those who have the patience to look through the apparent desertion , will always make you hear what’s most present within.

Painting inspired by a @mikebishop.tvimage!
